How to Register for Loansome Doc
A one-time only registration is required to use the Loansome Doc service. Please review ALL the information on this page. The bold information will be used during the registration process.
- Visit the Loansome Doc sign-in page.
- Select SIGN UP.
- Select the "skip this step" hyperlink, since you will be ordering from our library.
- Enter our library identifier akualk. Click Continue.
- Enter AKUALK as the authorization code.
- Enter your title and choose the category that best fits your relationship to our library. Click Continue.
- Read and accept the terms of use. Click Continue.
- Enter personal information and ordering preferences.
- *Important* - Select "Web(PDF)" from the delivery method drop down menu. This option means that you are sent an email message containing a link to the article. "Email(PDF)" means the PDF is attached to the email message. PDF files can be large and many organizations strip large attachments. Or the large file may overflow your email inbox, so the message is bounced back to us.
- For max cost, enter $12. This is the cost that we (HSIS) are charged by the lending library (for articles not available in our collection.) Most Alaskans are NOT paying this cost, as their organization either has a contract for library service with HSIS or pays this cost for them. If you enter $0, you are telling us you DO NOT WANT this item requested from another library.
