1. Rare books do not circulate.
2. Care must be exercised in the use of rare books. Do not fold pages or use paper clips or post-it notes to mark pages. Do not mark or lean upon books.
3. Only archives personnel are permitted to retrieve rare books. When finished with a book, please return it to an archives staff member.
4. Fragile books will not be copied. Copying of rare books will be done at the discretion of the archives staff.
5. United States copyright applies to theses. Researchers should familiarize themselves with the law and university policy concerning the use of theses. The Consortium Library and the Archives and Manuscripts Department disclaim any responsibility for the violation of copyright.
